I have never left a review before but I was so impressed with this little baby monitor. I previously purchased an expensive camera monitor that I could watch on my cell phone. I loved the idea but it was completely impractical. I could see my baby while looking at the screen but the sound quality was terrible and there was constant interference. The second I turned away from my phone it was useless. I purchased this monitor because I really stood to loose nothing considering it was only 18 bucks and I needed a practical option for night time because my daughters room is down the hall. It turned out to be the best investment. Sound quality is great and it has had no interference whatsoever. It is so easy to use and I love that you have a battery or plug in option. Batteries do seem to die quickly in the receiver, but I have it plugged in most days anyway. Save yourself the hassle and money and buy this monitor. You won't regret it.
We had never needed/used a baby monitor with our previous 3 kids, but just recently moved into a larger house where the nursery is on the second floor on one side of the home, and our home-office is on the main level at the opposite end. We realized it was necessary to get one for our new baby, and wanted something very basic/simple. This monitor had great reviews, and thankfully, has worked great for us! Although the adult monitor can be moved easily, we generally keep both units plugged in. I appreciate that it is not overly sensitive, but does pick up rustling and murmuring. Nice clear sound. We also haven't had any difficulties with picking up other channels/scanners, so I'm thankful for that!
Very clear. Can hear every sound and movement. We have a two story house and use one receiver downstairs and one in our bedroom. The sound is loud enough to hear our little girl over the TV and kitchen noises. Being able to use the receiver with the battery option or plug in option is great and the range is good enough that we can go outside around the yard and still hear her loud and clear.
If this came with rechargeable batteries it would be perfect. But for the price and in comparison to other more expensive solutions we've tried for keeping an eye or ear open for our baby girl, this speaker system has been the best. If I was to ever gift anything to a new family it would be these. The base always remains plugged in near her crib and the speaker I usually plugged in near myself or my wife. But the best thing is being able to unplug the speaker and carry it around with you. We're pretty happy with the range as well, even when outside we've get about 40' from her room with ease.
I thought that the baby monitor wasn't working at first because we'd hear what was going on in the room and then it would go silent. We'd tested it with my Wife's voice before the baby was born and it worked just fine. We we're literally dumbfounded then I realized there's a noise gate on it... long story short the mic timed out on transmission when the noise maker was in use.So the unit went silent despite the power/link light being on. Then when the baby started making noises about an hour later the sound came through clear as a bell. The more time went on the more I found this operation to be true. Our parent unit is approximately 3ft from the baby... may be a little bit more. Even so, it picks him up just fine and let me know when I need to go check on him.I recommend this product to other parents in need of an affordable high quality baby monitor.
